Job Description

WHAT YOULL DOWere looking for a creative IA, UI and interaction design-oriented individual with the skills and experience to work create user-centred responsive and mobile designs with the largest Tribe in BCG and to help grow BCGs Design Language andPatterns library.You will be responsible for defining and managing the UX of our Enterprise Platforms Tribe at BCG. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary Agile team as the UX Lead focused on creating a first-class user experience for consumers of thetools and services offered by the Tribe. Youll also work with the UX Centre of Expertise to help grow our Patterns library, creating a componentised, consistent and reusable design language.Working with the Enterprise Platforms Tribe, the UX Lead will beresponsible for:Working with the Product Owner to define the UX vision, guidance and guardrails for the Tribe.Conduct end-user research to understand user needs and pain points and to validate concepts, prototypes and designs.Creating information architectures,interaction designs and user interfaces that will serve our users needs and the Tribes vision for their products and servicesWorking with the Design Language and Patterns Library the UX Lead will:Work closely with the Product Owner to define and evolve thecomponents, patterns and principles that support the design languageCreate the atomic components that will be used by the UX Centre of Expertise nad our partner TribesEngage with end-users, stakeholders and leadership to validate the designsYou should be comfortablejumping straight into the wide range of design tasks as part of a globally dispersed team. Our designers advise, guide and educate.YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)Please note that this role is very much targeted at UI and interaction design-oriented UX folk; an eye for visual design and the ability to design effective,usable UIs is a must-haveWed love to see candidates:who have at least five years experience creating effective, appropriate and easy-to-use information architectures, interaction designs and user interfaceswho can demonstrate strong experience in designingUI components & navigation for responsive web and mobile platformswho understand the fundamental importance of research and analysis to support their design process andperhaps more importantlyunderstand that necessity of their research analysis beingoutcome-oriented.who have business know-how: Understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company goals and objectives into effective digital experienceswho are comfortable withand effective atliaising with senior leadership; who areable to tell the story of their design in a language that resonates with the audiencewho understand the importance of being a credible design authoritywho can evidence the contributions to broader business initiatives that their designs have achievedwhohave experience of working in an Agile environment, ideally with an understanding of how to operate Agile at scaleYOULL WORK WITHBCGs information technology group collaboratively delivers the latest digital technologies that enable our consultants to leadand our business to grow.
