Job Description

IT Systems TrainerYou will ensure staff have the training and support available to enable them to use the systems and services offered through the use of technology.IT Systems Trainer Responsibilities:• Deliver training in a variety of ways, including one to one, via desktop sharing, video, in a classroom environment or at sites around the country.• Ensure training objectives are met and progress of attendees is recorded for all sessions to assess effectiveness.• Monitor training effectiveness and feedback improvement opportunities.• Work closely with SME’s to ensure training is accurate and relevant to in operation processes, highlighting tricks and tips where available.• Ensure all training material is created on RNIB Accessible templates where possible, and that suitable accessible alternatives are available where it isn’t possible.• Focus on the usability of systems at all times. Helping people to access and use our systems regardless of their capabilities or reliance on access technology.• Create training material based on first release software, where published roadmaps are available, to ensure tools such as Office 365, Windows 10, Dynamics 365 and other tools are ready for use as they are released.IT Systems Trainer Requirements:• Experience of creating and delivering a training programme in a widely diverse environment.• Understanding of using and supporting Microsoft Office, Dynamics NAV and Salesforce across multiple scenarios.• Experience of delivering training resources in multiple formats, including written, verbal, interactive and video.• Highly proficient computer skills, fully aware of the Office 365 software stack and Windows 10 platform.• Specialist knowledge of Access Technologies, including but not limited to JAWS, Zoom Text, NVDA, Narrator, Voice Over and Talkback is desirable.• Experience of delivering training to users of Access Technologies, including but not limited to JAWS, Zoom Text, NVDA, Narrator, Voice Over and Talkback is desirable.• A recognised training certification would be desirable.• People management skills / team working skills• Empathetic to needs, patient and articulate. Instils confidence when presenting to audiences of all types.• Able to build productive working relationships and work with RNIB colleagues at all levels.• Finds innovative and engaging ways to deliver and enhance training to the organisation.• Identifies people who are struggling and adapts style to ensure they stay engaged and get most from the training on offer.• Strong communicator who can interact with audiences of all levels of seniority and technical ability, via report writing, presentations and verbal updatesAbout RNIB Royal National Institute of Blind People:We’re the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and we’re here for everyone affected by sight loss.
