Job Description

Role: IT Support TechnicianRate: £150.00 to £190.00 per dayDuration: 12 MonthsLocation: Supporting sites around London - DRIVERS LICENCE REQUIREDContract: Inside IR35We are working with a growing Managed Service Provider who are looking to recruit a Contract School Based IT Support Technician on an initial 12 month basis. The role is 5 days a week onsite and is paying up to £190 a day inside IR35.Responsibilities of the IT Support Technician:

  • Provide effective and efficient communication across all levels of the business
  • Provide 1st Line and 2nd Line support to all users of technology
  • Set up, deploy and re-image desktops and hardware.
  • To ensure anti-virus updates and Microsoft Security updates are kept current on schools networks
Requirements for the IT Support Technician role:
  • Strong background within the IT support industry
  • MS Office experience (with MS Access preferred)
  • Mobile technology (tablets & smartphones using Android & IOS)
  • Networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, Switches, DHCP & DNS)
  • Ability to identify hardware/operating system problems and provide a simple report
  • Active Directory Management
  • Knowledge of filtering and safeguarding software deployed and its uses
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Windows based software
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and Windows 10, Apple & IOS operating systems
  • MS Office experience (with MS Access preferred)
  • Networking and Communications Troubleshooting experience
  • Active Directory, Group Policy and Server builds and configurations management
  • Microsoft Windows operating systems and their use in a local area network environment
  • Cisco and D-Link networking technology
