An internationally recognised cultural body is currently recruiting an IT Support Technician to join their team. Working to promote the arts sector, they serve the public in role which covers the cultural, creative and economic aspects of film industryin the UK. About the RoleThis is role is for an IT Support Technician to come and join the business at their office which is based in central London. Please read below some of the responsibilities of the role:* To provide 1st line IT Service Desk support to users using a call logging system and to participate in 2nd line support activities when required.* To assist staff in the office or remotely via remote connection utilities.* Participate in updating endpoints, including software, patches and security updates.* The deployment and installation of software on Windows and Apple Mac devices.* To work alongside the senior management team on diagnosing faults, issues or potential risks to the IT infrastructure.* To maintain accurate inventory and maintenance records for the companys computer equipment.* To ensure that all backup tapes are properly stored and that the correct tapes are made available for the backup cycle. To manage backup jobs and report on any failures.* To interface with other third parties for engineering visits and to liaise over software and hardware problems reporting and resolution.* To provide basic training on the computer systems to staff members, including on-boarding activities.Role Requirements* Demonstrable previous experience of working in an IT environment.* Working knowledge or understanding of Citrix technologies.* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 10).* Knowledge of Computer Networking (DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, LANWAN).
