Job Description

IT Support Lead Engineer - LondonLocation:- Hybrid role, 3 days in the office, 2 working from home. Possible Travel to European office in Germany once a month.Any German language skills a benefit to this role.Salary:- £38-45k + BensMust be eligible for SC ClearanceEnvironment:- Sharepoint, Office365, Microsoft Azure, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Azure Active Directory, Fortinet, Cyber Security, Routers, Zoom, SAAS, ServiceNow.An interesting role has arisen within this end user company for an IT Support Lead Engineer to provide technical support and end user training for the companys SaaS based applications and desktop environment in London, and Frankfurt offices.The position is also required to provide support for other offices, monitor the service desk and system management tools and services, including undertaking small projects and upgrades.Day to day duties:-Providing ongoing end user training for desktop applications

  • Ensuring users are maximising the use of OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams and Zoom
  • Preliminary troubleshooting issues/requests and logged via the Service desk system (ServiceNow);
  • Providing quality and timely support to all staff and other stakeholders;
  • Daily system monitoring, identification, assessment, resolution and/or escalation of issues;
  • Receiving service calls, ensuring their appropriate registration / categorisation / assignment, resolution and escalation procedures;
  • Maintaining hardware and software inventory;
  • Installation and configuration of hardware and software including maintenance of the managed desktop;
  • Creating and updating the technical knowledgebase;
  • Recording and monitoring of service requests, incidents and changes and communicate progress and status to technical and business staff;
  • Identify potential improvements to technology services, processes and procedures.
Skills Required:-
  • Minimum 4 years experience in similar position.
  • Highly developed English language skills (reading/writing and verbal);
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with strong communication skills.
  • Highly developed organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent and professional customer service skills.
  • Highly motivated, eager to learn and displays autonomy.
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to be flexible and pragmatic.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or another related field
  • Demonstrated experience in IT systems
