Job Description

Summary£37,400 up to £41,800*per annum - This isnt about having big plans. This is about making them happen.Based in our brand new, state-of-the-art head office in Tolworth, our IT Retail Solutions department is looking for an experienced and driven individual, who has a passion for store related systems to join our team and build a career in a challenging yetrewarding environment.Our IT Retail Solutions department is responsible for the technical and functional operations of various IT systems used within Lidl GB stores, including the identification, specification, and delivery of solutions to meet business requirements. The retailsolutions in scope, include but are not limited to ANPR car park management, card payments, mobile applications, and point-of-sale systems.We have moved to a fully flexible model of mobile working for appropriate Head Office and Regional roles, empowering our teams to choose how and where they work best. We feel it is important that, where possible, weoffer our colleagues as much flexibilityas possible and trust our teams to determine the right environments that work most effectively for them.What youll do

  • Contribute to the implementation of UK and International driven store-based projects
  • Provide a professional and high level of 2nd and 3rd Level IT support to retail systems
  • Provide technical training on new and existing systems and processes to internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Monitor system performance using a combination of monitoring tools and IT service providers
  • Analyse data and produce data reports
  • Engage in aspects of the software and hardware life cycle, including testing, configuration, and installation
  • Create and maintain documentation, including knowledge base articles, guidelines, and functional specifications
  • Create and supporting in the delivering of stakeholder presentations
  • Identify and implement improvements, time saving, and cost-effective changes
  • Out of hours on call remunerated support on rota basis (~Once every 6 weeks)
  • Occasional overnight, early morning and weekend work due to upgrades and system support
What youll need
  • IT experience of at least one of the following systems: ANPR, card payments, mobile applications, point-of-sale
  • Proven experience in an IT Support based role and using remote access tools
  • ServiceNow, CA DSM and Ivanti experience is beneficial
  • ITIL qualification is beneficial and a keen interest in the IT industry is essential
  • Experience in learning new systems and processes, both bespoke and off-the shelf
  • Project Management and Stakeholder Management experience is ideal
  • PowerShell or automation tools experience would be beneficial
  • The ability to demonstrate initiative and solution ownership
  • The ability to work both independently and as a team to ensure the correct application of the IT solutions lifecycle
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • UK driving licence is highly beneficial
