Job Description

Job Title: CRO/Head of Risk ManagementSalary: Competitive + BenefitsLocation: LondonOscar Technology are partnered with one of the UKs biggest niche insurers who provide bespoke solutions globally via their leading insurance and health services platform to find their next CRO/Head of risk management.As a CRO/Head of Risk Management you will lead the investigation, analysis and assessment of risk, and the design and implementation of strategies and processes to mitigate threats to the successful delivery of the organisations corporate and business plans.Responsibilities:

  • Development, review, application and maintenance of the second line of defence across the Company
  • Development and implementation of risk management processes and controls
  • Identification, reporting, escalation, management and mitigation of all risks
  • Liase with the CEO and board of directors about risks within the organisation and the mitigation and mangement of those risks.
  • Identification and management of all operational risk incidents
  • Overall responsibility for the ORSA process and the delivery of the annual ORSA Report
  • Oversee the delivery of regular risk assessments and preparation of all documentation related to risk assessment
  • Regular reporting to the Risk and Audit Committee
Preferred Experience:
  • Insurance/ Financial Services regulated Industry Background
  • Previous holder of SMF4 and/or other SMF Approved role
  • Direct engagement with PRA and FCA.
  • Experience and understanding of Data Privacy regulations (GDPR, PECR)
  • Experience in a senior manager role within risk management
  • Recognised Risk Management qualification and / or a recognised professional qualification
