The Role - IT Project Manager (Housing)Location - London, but currently working from homeContract Duration - End of August initially but strong chance of extensionRate - £420 per day (Umbrella)This role is working for a privately owned social housing association and they are currently in the middle of a data migration project regarding transfer of properties from different authorities across London. This is a growing business that embraces technology and theyve continued to operate seamlessly through the lockdown period.On that basis, we are looking to recruit a contractor who will act as IT project manager to drive the latter stages of the project over the line to completion. For this role, its critical that you have prior IT project management experience within the social housing sector and can point to a data track record with housing management software such as Northgate. Above and beyond the housing being classed as essential criteria, its a data migration project manager that has solid relational database background with qualifications in one of the formal methodologies: PRINCE2, PMP or MSP.As IT Project Manager, youll be focusing on this specific migration project alongside supporting the delivery of elements within a larger programme, including ensuring there are strong business cases, robust governance and controls in place, and the identification and realisation of benefits.The business is currently on a work from home status and this isnt likely to change in the near future in line with COVID restrictions. Head office for the company is in the Wembley area and the reality is, they would like to engage with a contractor who could commence work before the end of June, and they are standing ready to fully kit out a home office for you if needed. We are flexible on location, so can happily talk with PMs from across the UK due to the work from home situation.They are looking to interview from ASAP next week via various methods and ideally, would like the new PM in post by Monday 29th June, or earlier if possible.
