Job Description

My client is one of the fastest growing health companies in the UK looking for an IT Project Manager.Job PurposeWorking under the direction of the COO or CIO, the Technical Project Manager is responsible for the overall definition, direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of information technology projects and change management.Responsible for managing the day to day information technology systems (directly and indirectly, through management of 3rd party providers) to determine productivity and cost. To bring recommended improvements to the IT Meeting, SLT or to the COO/CIO forconsideration.Hands on role that will be expected to manage their time effectively to deliver technical projects and manage their IT outsource providers, while ensuring that current accreditations and governance are maintained.Maintain GDPR, BCP and Cyber incident logs in a timely fashion. As required, consult senior management on how to proceed with data access or erasure requests and breach notifications.Support CIO in the completion of supplier risk evaluations relating to data protection, IT outsourcing / Sub-contracting, business continuity arrangements, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Physical Security.Job ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks:

  • Facilitate accurate definition of project scope, goals and deliverables adhering to their projects and change control governance process
  • Definition, planning and implementation of projects and tasks
  • Identify resource requirement and negotiate fulfilment
  • Develop full-scale project plans
  • Manage projects end-to-end, including budgets, plans, schedules, and deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Central point for all requests relating to information technology
  • Coordinate and supervise IT staff members
  • Manage and coordinate all IT related matters including data, wireless, telephony, security, and computer hardware and software
  • Oversee IT partners and report on their performance against SLAs and KPIs
  • Input into the development of the IT strategy, architecture, and processes
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery procedures, information security and control structures (Inc GDPR)
  • Responsible for the delivery of technical and security awareness training for inductions
  • Maintain current technical accreditations held by the group companies (e.g. CyberEssentials)
  • Support Head of Departments with maintaining of group certifications (e.g. ISO 9000)
KPIs:
  • Flawless delivery of projects: on time, on budget and with complete customer satisfaction throughout all stages
  • Timely and complete status reporting, including the recording of issues, risks and lessons learned, resource utilisation and quality measures
  • Accurate and complete recording of time for all project and internal work for charging and planning purposes
  • Support creation and improvement of process, procedures and tooling
  • Lead the troubleshooting of IT issues related to internal IT
  • Assessment of IT vendors and develop approaches for their introduction
Key Attributes:

  • 2-5 years experience in working within an IT project manager
  • Previous experience of managing third parties / IT outsource providers desirable
