Position:IT Project Manager (FTSE250)Location: Central LondonStart date: ASAP – 4 weeksRole type: PermanentSalary: £60-65K + 5-10% bonus + 10% pension + Save as you earn + Share incentive + health & medical insuranceThe ClientOur client is a leading international FTSE 250 Company situated in Central London. Whilst the role is remote based at present (it will ultimately be based in their prestigious UK HQ post Covid), this exciting opportunity requires an exceptional IT Project Manager candidate who possesses excellent communication skills and experience that a blue chip/PLC environment demands, ideally from a Property/Real Estate/Retail background.The Role as IT Project ManagerOur client requires a strong IT Project Manager to be responsible for managing multiple project portfolios across the business. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will apply best practice Project Management and PMO governance whilst delivering projects of varying size and budget. You will need to understand a broad range of technologies so a technical background would be highly advantageous, as would strong communications skills to senior stakeholder/executive level where required.The main delivery duties will be:

  • Manage a portfolio of IT projects across Business Applications (CRM, HR, Finance), Cyber Security and Infrastructure.
  • Definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility and reviewing and improving processes where necessary
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for several initiatives simultaneously
  • Meeting with stakeholders to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project - Manage project scope and changes
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues - building rapport and credibility
  • Identifying suitable communication strategies for all levels of stakeholders
  • Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Managing the day-to-day project activities, resources and chairs the Steering committee meetings
  • The IT Project Manager CandidateIn addition to excellent communication, collaboration and people skills, you should possess great attention to detail, be a pragmatic person and highly focused on deliveries and process efficiencies and have the ability to work under pressure.You should ideally possess experience of the following;
  • 5-10 years commercial IT Project Management experience
  • Prince 2 certified
  • Agile/Scrum experience
  • Business Applications, Cyber Security and Infrastructure experience is highly advantageous
  • Leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Ability to prepare and present documentation to non IT business people
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives
  • Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executives sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
  • Research best practices within and outside the organisation to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results
  • Track record of successful IT project management and delivery
  • Background with IT technical skills/systems experience – SDLC etc
