Job Description

La Fosse Associates are currently partnered with a client who are looking to hire an IT Project Manager to work on a DC Migration programme. The role will be remote, based out of their London office, paying £450 a day and outside IR35. The initial contractis 6 months with view to extension.Role:

  • The role is to support the team when it comes to the requirement for their leased line circuits inventory
  • As part of the DC exit, they will be moving / installing many new circuits and need someone who can be the interface internally to discover, identify and define the circuit requirements from the teams who use the existing circuits to replicate this at thenew location
  • Filling in all the telco / carrier documentation which has the technical and logistical requirements for a new / moving circuit
  • Looking for a technically-minded individual - note, not a technical person per se (i.e. engineer) as theres no hands on requirements but there is a need to have a good fundamental understanding of the leased-line and VPN technologies combined with analysisand documentation
Requirements:
  • They need to have a good understanding of customer lease line products - telco circuits and cross-connects
  • Hands-on experience working within a customer organisation to discover and document telco and VPN requirements
  • Extensive experience working with telcos / carriers to prepare, plan, order and migrate circuits and VPNs
  • Hands-on experience with completing telco / carrier circuit and VPN documentation
  • Understanding of how telcos / carriers work and typical challenges faced when it comes to circuits and VPN
  • VPN knowledge and awareness
