IT Procurement Manager

The Business:A global provider of public transport.Key Responsibilities:

Developing an IT procurement category strategy to drive the maturity of procurement internally
Improve/enhance collaboration across the various divisions and operating companies to identify procurement opportunities and to deliver against them.
Delivery of the businesses strategic objectives and savings plan
Develop appropriate procurement and contracting strategies that meet the demands of the investors and the EU/country legislation
Category management of IT. Developing and implementing a category strategy covering spend of over £20m
Maintaining close liaison with stakeholders, and cross functional team members as well as end users to ensure a coordinated and structured approach to all aspects and phase of the procurement process

Key Skills:

A strong track record of procurement or commercial experience in a strategic or group role for an organisation with multiple business units in multiple countries
Demonstrable delivery across multiple indirect categories, and ideally specialise in IT procurement
Strong success in delivering business value through savings and performance improvements
Excellent knowledge of procurement legislation, bid tendering, contract management and supplier management including knowledge of EU procurement law
You can demonstrate advanced negotiating skills.
An ability to analyse spend, understand the business context and extract key facts to deliver improvement and opportunities
Excellent communicator with strong influencing skills
CIPS/MCIPS/Equivalent qualification would be favourable
