Job Description

Our client, a successful international telecommunications company, is seeking an IT Operations Support Engineer (Shifts) to provide support to its UK team, on a permanent basis.Our client is based in the Docklands and the shift pattern will be 4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off.This is a great opportunity for an IT Operations Support Engineer (Shifts) with a CCNP/ CCNA qualification and a minimum of 2 years previous experience within a networking position, who is happy to work both day and night shifts.This position is integral to the IT operations and the main responsibilities for the IT Operations Support Engineer (Shifts) would include:

  • Manage a variety of service alerts, reports and fault calls from customers and other internal technical divisions
  • Update ticket systems
  • Notify the On-Call Support and Line-Manager of issues which require escalation
  • Contact and co-ordinate 3rd party suppliers to achieve resolution when needed
  • Visit customer premises with 3rd party vendors as and when required
  • Attend customer meetings regarding issues and create reports concerning customer issues
  • Work on-site at customer premises as required
  • Working as part of the 24/365 maintenance rota
    • We are looking for IT Operations Support Engineers who have:
  • A valid CCNP/ CCNA, JNCIP, MCSE, MCSA or VCP qualification is essential
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with installation of network infrastructure, server and virtualisation
  • Customer service experience and strong communication skills at all levels
  • The ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • The ability to investigate and source answers to various enquiries
  • A strong work ethic and flexible approach to working hours
  • Excellent MS Office skills
