This employer are looking to hire an experienced IT Manager to oversee the daily operations of their IT department and support company projects.Part time - 3 days a week (days negotiable), 9:30-17:30This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced IT professional with excellent organisational and management skills, strategic problem-solving and decision-making skills, and a solid understanding of both budgets and data insights.Along with a competitive salary and benefits, there is a flexible WFH policy based on the ongoing situation (though they may require you to be in the office during on-boarding)Come and be part of something special, they would love to hear from you!Key responsibilitiesGeneral- Coding PHP/html/css/javascript - at least basic level- Management of IT Infrastructure department- Provide status update as requested for all projects- Monitor all information/requests coming into the IT team from all sources & track, prioritise & follow-up to completion- Sign-off projects with the key stakeholders, ensuring correct documentation completed & stored appropriately - Develop & implement processes for checking & verifying the quality of project work & task completion- Keeping Windows & VMware infrastructure running & maintaining with required upgrades- Ensure that resources are being managed & utilised for maximum efficiency- Manage all team members - Allocate IT projects/helpdesk tickets as & when required- Ensure that the current team understand their short & long-term objectives- Steer the team to enable longer-term strategic goals to be attained whilst managing the short-term urgent requestsExperience- At least five years experience as an IT manager- Good communication skills, both written & verbal - Bachelor degree or equivalent professional experience- Good project management experience- Possesses a positive attitude & be prepared to work as required to meet objectives & goalsEssential Skills- Windows Server & Active Directory- VMWare ESXi and ability to work in fully virtualised environment- Good knowledge of server hardware, preferably HP servers, SAN/NAS storage- Zimbra/Postfix - deep understanding of mail technologies - Experience working in Linux server (Preferably Ubuntu/Debian)- Bash/Perl/PHP scripting skills- MySQL - replication, clustering, optimisation- Nagios, Cacti or similar monitoring systems, understanding of SNMP- Good knowledge of networks, routing, filtering, port forwarding, vpn in hardware & software solutions- Ability to secure networks & systems, iptables, sudoers, VPN, SSL- In-depth knowledge of web technologies - Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, Squid, load balancing & fault tolerant solutionsDesirable skills- Puppet/Chef automation software- MSSQL - ability to perform basic support, troubleshooting & query optimisation- Java/Tomcat - ability to support java applications in jvm, web applications in Tomcat- Asterisk/Freepbx- at least some understanding of telephony basics
