Job Description

My client is a leading organisation that provide financial software solutions to a wide range of customers within the investment industry. They are currently looking to recruit an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer to join a new team that will be responsiblefor supporting, monitoring and managing the current systems, services, solutions, and infrastructure while contributing to their continuous improvement. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team and take the next step in your career.Candidate requirements:You will have a minimum of 3 years experience across a 2nd line and 3rd line role and will be able to confidently support various infrastructure and system support issues.We are looking for individuals who have experience of the following:

  • Working knowledge of Windows Server (Active directory, Group Policy, DFS etc.)
  • Configuration of Hypervisors and virtual server deployments (VMware)
  • Proficient with monitoring solutions and the creation/management of checks (Zabbix)
  • Strong understanding of automation and how it can be leveraged to improve process (Puppet/PowerShell/Bash)
  • Experienced in managing backup technology and recovery testing (Cohesity)
  • Proficient with storage environments and their configuration (Synology, Nimble)
  • Working knowledge of Patch management and automation of processes around it (WSUS, Katello)
  • Knowledge of HP Server/Network hardware and its configuration and remote management tools.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP Networking knowledge and its applications.
  • Good Understanding of security principals and role based access control.
Any experience of the skills below would also be useful in the role:
  • Working knowledge of Linux (Redhat/CentOS)
  • Experience writing up technical documentation and being able to explain concepts in a non-technical way
  • Knowledge of log aggregation and filtering (Graylog)
  • Vulnerability management and resolution (Rapid 7)
  • Asset lifecycle management
  • Working knowledge of Office 365 and cloud migrations.
  • Knowledge of telephony platforms
