Job Description

IT Client Support EngineerThis position is only available to candidates eligible to work in the UK without Sponsorship.

We are working with a major brand in the Professional Service and Office Workspace industry that are in need of an IT Client Support Engineer.Settled across the UK, the Client offers flexible design-led workspaces. They offer a mix of private offices, relaxed lounge areas, meeting rooms, and event space rentals, allowing businesses of all kinds to thrive, from start-ups to multinationals.The Role:This is NOT your typical Desktop Support Team.This team are responsible for making sure that the the Clients Members kit connects to their network. You will provide support to over 18,000 clients as part of the IT Client Engineering team, delivering a professional IT service to members across a numberof the Clients Work Spaces. The IT Client Engineer team provides two main services: support for all issues related to the Clients members setup in terms of device connectivity to the Clients Network, while meeting rooms are set up for presentations, by installingCommunications kits, and supporting Switches, Routers, and Firewalls.Its a fantastic opportunity to join a team and help influence how they deliver beautiful, dependable, and seamless experiences to our clients users.The Successful it Client Support Engineer will:
  • Good understanding and technical knowledge of Networking
  • Communications Kit Experience
  • Experience of Virtual Private Networking including IP Security Installation and configuration of Layer 2 switched networks and Layer 3 routed networks
  • Good understanding of Audio Visual (AV) & Meeting Room technology (Zoom, Teams)
  • Delivery of Tech to Customer Spaces and Meeting Rooms
  • Experience working with networking fundamentals - VLANs, NAT, OSPF. L2 switching technologies (STP, RSTP, VTP, Ether channels), VLANs, trunking) and L3 switching (SVIs, inter-VLAN routing)
Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Included Support to;
    • Wi-Fi, telephony (Avaya, RingCentral), networking, internet
    • Client move-ins and move-outs
    • Staff on-site support
    • Switches
    • Routers
    • Firewalls
  • Client requested support works (in office and comms rooms)
  • Installation of client servers and core equipment
  • Custom configurations of networks and patching
  • Bespoke IT and AV setups
  • Set up meeting rooms for presentations
  • Installing Comms kit
