Role responsibilities• Provide risk advice on all aspects of Private Markets, Real Assets and other illiquid investments and strategies to Investment Committees (“ICs”), the Investment Risk Committee (“IRC”) and other committees where required.•Review, analyse and draft risk opinions for Private Market and Real Asset transactions.• Attend ICs (non-voting member) to represent Investment Risk Management (“IRM”) and present risk opinions.• Accountable for ongoing monitoring of existing investments using the Private Market and Real Asset risk framework. Expected to attend weekly investment team meetings.• Accountable for implementation and maintenance of the Private Market and Real Asset risk framework and governance related to Private Markets and Real Assets.• Develop strong and collaborative relationships within the broader Investment Risk Oversight & Sustainable Ownership team, Investment teams, and other functions.• Contribute to the modelling of illiquid investments in the risk model with the objective of providing appropriate measurement of the level and composition of investment risk across full spectrum of assets.• Contribute to IRM oversight & reporting by working with the Analytics function to support deliverables to Committees, Boards and Clients.• Strive to achieve best practice on investment risk management relating to Private Market and Real Asset investments and build relationships with peers.Applicants who have experience of working directly with private market assets , such as direct infrastructure experience, are preferred for this role.Behaviours required for role• Communication and influence; ability to communicate, engage and influence stakeholders and committees through concise and impactful language, despite complexity of subject matter.• Creative challenge – not afraid to think differently and constructively challenge views of others to move a process forward, while also remaining humble and open to challenge yourself.• Strong working relationships – actively reaching out, empathetically listening, learning, and efficiently collaborating with other team members and functions.• Outcome-oriented delivery – open-minded, focus on consistent and regular delivery of high quality output, effectively balancing different pieces of work and managing changes in accountabilities and priorities.
