We are looking for a new Investment Reporter to join Citywire Selector’s highly-motivated and fast-paced editorial team in our London-based team. Reporting to the Editor of Citywire Selector, the Investment Reporter will be someone able to source and supply timely news for our sophisticated investor audience.We’re looking for an individual who is resourceful, communicative and able to meet tight deadlines with efficient and eye-catching copy.Citywire employs around 240+ people with offices inLondon, Brighton,New York,Munich,MilanandSingapore. The company provides news, information and insight for professional advisers and investors whilst organising market-leading events around the world.Main responsibilitiesAs an Investment Reporter on Citywire Selector, you will sit within our editorial team and contribute to both the daily news and our monthly magazines and supplements. This will involve clear and consistent coordination with the team, as well as being able to develop and maintain contacts through the fund management industry. The role will require you to:- Write compelling features to tight deadlines as well as being equipped with the skills to develop multimedia content, such as podcasts and video.- Deliver well-sourced and researched investment-led articles which make use of data related to asset and fund management.- Grow a contact book of fund selectors, fund managers and PR people from across the industry.- Coordinate with the wider team on larger projects but also be able to work independently to develop and deliver larger stories.- Cover a wide array of asset classes such as bonds, equities and alternatives as well as getting the inside story on how your contacts run their businesses globally.- Break news that matters to investors and interview the fund managers they trust to generate returns on behalf of their clients.Job specific skills / technical skills / profile- At least two or three years experience chasing news and breaking stories; educated to degree level or equivalent experience.- A good understanding of the asset management industry and eager to build your knowledge in a specialist investment area.- Language skills would be an advantage but not a prerequisite.Competitive salary and additonal company benefits:- 25 days holiday per annum (rising to 28 days after three years’ service followed by 30 days after five years’ service) plus bank holidays,- Competitive private pension scheme,- Well-being: access to an independent Employee Assistance Programme available 24/7,- Wellbeing activities and subsidised gym options.
