Job Description

Remote working opportunity!We are working with a large public sector company who are looking for an Investigations Officer to join their team. The role will be responsible for building and maintaining key partnerships with the Police, Local Authorities and other enforcement partners to enable compliance strategies to be implemented. You will tackle non-compliance with regulation through partners where appropriate, but also directly using business interventions.This is what you will be doing as Investigations officer

  • Operate consistently within corporate standards, policies and strategies.
  • Implement and support compliance strategies which are consistent with national policies and guidelines.
  • As part of a larger national team work within a regional, sector or formal investigation team to meet compliance priorities.
  • Undertake intelligence and evidence gathering and testing in line with tasking.
  • Escalate, de-escalate or refer cases where colleagues or partners are better placed to undertake appropriate action.
  • Confidently present evidence in the relevant courts clearly, cogently and convincingly irrespective of whether that evidence supports or undermines the Authority’s case.
  • The experience you’ll bring to the team
  • Knowledge of Private Security Industry Act (2001) and other relevant legislation (CPIA, Fraud Act, PACE, etc.).
  • Knowledge of key aspects of employment law, company law and relevant financial regulations for businesses.
  • Experience of client relationship building or comparable work, with a sound understanding and/or experience of compliance techniques.
  • Ability to draw up an action plan and carry out effective compliance/investigatory activity.
