Internal Communications ManagerLocation: BalhamApplication Deadline: 18th December 2020Salary: £37,000 per annumRegion: BalhamJob SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity to join our client as an Internal Communications Manager as they continue to grow as a social care provider in London.Salary: £37,000 per annumHours: 37.5 hoursJob Type: PermanentLocation: Balham or Ealing office (currently home working)Interviews to take place week commencing 4th January 2021Benefits- A stimulating work environment full of opportunities to learn and develop- 25 days’ annual leave, pension scheme and 24-hour Employee Assistance- Paid Enhanced DBS- Eye care vouchers- Travel season ticket loan & Cycle to Work Scheme (eligible after 1 years’ service)- PerkboxAbout the roleThe role of the Internal Communications Manager is to support the Head of Marketing and Communications to increase staff engagement by working collaboratively to plan and manage our client’s internal communications, feeding into strategy where appropriate.They aim to be the best social care employer in London and this new role will help them achieve this by engaging staff in terms of learning, development and wellbeing, celebrating people’s successes, and effectively communicating change.The Internal Communications Manager will line-manage a Marketing and Communications Officer and will feed into, and manage, an internal communications plan for key events, campaigns and celebrations across the organisation.Please see the full job description for more details.Duties will include:- Sourcing, writing and editing content that celebrates success and inspires others, including interviews, news and spotlight on’ pieces- Feeding into, and managing, an internal communications plan for key events and campaigns, including staff recognition and our annual staff event- Working with HR colleagues to create effective communications that increases staff engagement from a learning, development and wellbeing standpoint- Communicating our client’s EDI strategy and celebrating key religious and cultural festivals and events, including activities from around the organisation- Line managing a Marketing and Communications Officer, effectively allocating workloads, developing their skills and conducting regular 1:1s and appraisals- Reviewing and improving intranet functionality, developing additional channels and improving two-way engagement for staffAbout youTo be the Internal Communications Manager with our client, the following are essential:- Experience in an internal communications management role- Substantial experience of proactively sourcing, writing and editing news and blog content- In-depth experience of Microsoft SharePoint- Experience of staff management- Experience of stakeholder and project management- An understanding of user needs and content best practiceAbout the organisationOur client is proud of their history of supporting people with complex mental health needs and learning disabilities.
