Job Description

S&P Global Sustainable1 TheRole: Internal Communications Director - Sustainable1 The Team: S&P Global Sustainable1 is S&P Globals single source of essential ESG and sustainability intelligence. The Communications team is essential to raising awareness, building and protecting the global brand and reputation of S&P Global Sustainable1,externally through message and campaign development and media engagement and internally through communications for and with our people. We are a high-performing, proactive, creative, enthusiastic, results-driven team with exceptional internal and externalrelationships. The Impact: The Communications team is essential to elevating, reinforcing, and protecting the S&P Global Sustainable1 brand and reputation internally and externally. Our work has meaningful impact in creating awareness, increasing our profile acrossthe wider enterprise and within S&P Global Sustainable1. The team has representation on the Sustainable1 leadership team and engages regularly with executives and partners spanning each of S&P Globals divisions. Whats in it for you:

Responsibilities:
  • Leading and executing internal communications strategy working proactively with communications team, senior business leaders and stakeholders and globally
  • Develop key messages to be delivered to regional, business, or large functional area employees and manages development of content on business strategies and growth
  • Provide hands-on support for leadership communications, coaching and advising senior leaders, creating communication plans, producing, and publishing content across multiple channels (e.g., intranet, email, etc.) and organizing town halls and other events
  • Develop thoughtful messaging and content for leadership to speak at internal engagements and advise on communication tactics and strategy
  • Partner and collaborate across divisional communications colleagues, to bring in cross-enterprise partners to support amplification of S&P Global Sustainable1 as a platform for ESG knowledge, innovation and delivery
  • Dive deep into employee listening - utilize metrics and feedback to spot trends, identify changes in behaviors and peaks and valleys in engagement, and take appropriate actions
  • Collaborate with Sustainable1 Communication colleagues to identify/align with market trends that may impact or influence communication programs
  • Strong connectivity and collaboration as appropriate with cross functional communications team
What Were Looking For:
  • 8-10 years of experience in an internal communications function within ESG, Sustainable finance, financial services or related/complimentary field, either in-house or for an agency
  • First class communication skills - written, verbal and presenting
  • Strong track record of successfully creating and implementing an internal communications strategy
  • Significant experience in leading multi-channel internal communications campaigns for a large, complex organisation
  • A bachelors degree or equivalent qualification, an MBA is beneficial
  • Keen interest in, and good understanding of, business and financial markets including the associated instruments
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Easily able to switch between conceptualizing and spearheading projects and participating in team projects; you are a team player
  • Highly organized with superb attention to detail
