As a Barclays Internal Auditor within Financial Crime and Compliance, youll support the delivery of audits and the overall delivery of the BIA (Barclays Internal Audit) audit plan. You will do this by developing and executing data analytics based testingstrategies, as well as providing suggestions for actions to address control issues identified. What will you be doingAssisting the Audit Owner in scoping the audit, where necessary and to identify, assess and document risks and controlsHelping with the evaluation of the design and operating effectivenessof controls and document this understanding in the BIA audit toolkitSupporting the delivery of the Data Analytics Strategy across the Compliance & Financial Crime audit portfolio and related technology audit portfolioWriting high quality audit observationsand supporting the Audit Owner in writing the audit reportPerforming testing during audit assignmentsBuilding good relationships and mutual trust with all colleagues internal to BIAUpdating the Audit Owner and audit team with progress and observationsas well as suggesting actions to address control issues identifiedProactively taking on additional tasks as requested by Directors/ Managing Director What were looking for:Vast experience in conducting end-to-end internal/ external audits - essential Some working experience and exposure to any of the audits of Compliance, Financial Crime, Fraud or related Technology disciplines - essentialPractical application of Data Analytics (e.g. Python, DART, SQL) or equivalent, and coding skills - essential Excellent communications skills to be able to communicate effectively with technical specialists and non-technical individuals Skills that will help you in the role:ACAMS/ ICA qualified, or equivalentCISA qualified, or equivalentGood understandingof Risk and ControlFinancial services experience and familiarity with retail, corporate and investment bank operations Where will you be working Weve been in Scotland for 250 years, and Scotlands significance to Barclays has never been as important asit is today.
