We are supporting a very ambitious UK Insurance Group recruit for an Internal Auditor to join their close-knit team of three. The Group Head of Internal Audit is ideally seeking a part-qualified or newly-qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) from a Top 20 Practiceto come onboard. This role will suit an aspiring individual who has exposure to the Insurance market or wider Financial-Services arena looking to make their first industry-based career move.Key Duties: - Support the planning process of Audits (creation of scope, preliminary fact gathering and reviewing materials required).- Obtain a detailed understanding of business operations, key risks and controls, major systems and procedures coupled with the ability to document this. - Conduct interviews with Stakeholders and prepare notes for review.- Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of Controls to ensure they manage risks effectively. - Identify and propose actions that will help rectify areas of potential weakness.Candidate:- Part or Newly-Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)- Experience either from an External Audit/Practice environment or in-house Internal Audit role- Must possess experience of the Insurance sector and/or wider Financial Services- Be prepared to committ to 30% travel per annum across the UK and Ireland
