Job Description

Are you a qualified accountant with experience within the not-for-profit sector Are you able to confidently lead on year end as well as working on tax compliance Are you excited about the opportunity to work for a sector-leading organisation during a periodof transformation If yes, read on!Robertson Bell is once again partnering with a leading charity to recruit an Interim Year End Accountant to join them for an initial three-month contract to support them throughout their year end and audit process. The role will be offered on largely remotebasis, with travel to London required once every couple of weeks.The main responsibilities of the Interim Year End Accountant include:

  • Act as a key point of contact for the external auditors during the year end process and ensure any recommendations are implemented in a timely fashion.
  • Attend the Finance and Audit Committee meetings, presenting the accounts and answering any follow up queries as required.
  • Play a key role in the preparation of the annual accounts.
  • Ensure that all income and expenditure is correctly accounted for and reflected in the finance system.
The successful candidate will be:
  • A qualified accountant.
  • Experienced in either producing statutory accounts and leading a successful year end audit.
  • Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of Charity SORP.
  • A first-class communicator with excellent Excel skills.
