Job Description

Are you looking for a new, senior finance opportunity within a widely recognised Public Sector organisation Do you have solid experience as a Senior Financial Accountant and have managed a team Are you available at short notice If so, this may be theopportunity for you!Robertson Bell are excited to be working with a large Public Sector organisation to recruit an Interim Senior Financial Accountant on an initial 6-month contract.Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Line managing this organisations transactional finance team
  • Producing statutory accounts and producing relevant reports for the audit process
  • Provide an expert outlook on VAT, helping staff understand complex VAT rules
  • Monitoring this organisations cash flow position
This Interim Senior Financial Accountant will feature a hybrid working situation and will work 2 days a week from their West-London based offices. This role features an exceptional opportunity to gain experience from within a large, highly regarded publicsector organisation, and help foster a team of ambitious finance professionals.The successful candidate will:
  • Be immediately available
  • Be at least a finalist of an ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification
  • Have experience of team management from within a large (preferably public sector) organisation
  • Have experience of reporting financial information at board level effectively
  • Have strong experience of leading on year end accounts for a multi-million-pound organisation
