Job Description

  • Are you comfortable controlling the supporting, leading and developing the team to improve performance and deliver against the SLAs
We are looking for an experienced interim Senior Financial Processing Officer to join this unique and exciting but extremely complex organisation based in the heart of London.In this role as the temporary Senior Financial Processing Officer - accounts payable, initially for a 3-6-month assignment, with a high likelihood of an extension. You will support their finance processing team with key activities that includes that includesall elements of accounts receivable and payable processing the organisation and its subsidiary companies.Your daily duties will include:
  • Processing purchase invoices, expense claims, credit card transactions and other payment documents using correct coding and VAT analysis, ensuring processes and controls around purchasing and payments are followed
  • Performing key month-end processes and working to month-end processing deadlines, maintaining schedules and timetables
  • Support the Processing Team in production of accurate financial information on balances, activities and key performance indicators
  • Supporting the Financial Officers in the resolution of complex queries or customer complaints, acting as a first point of escalation
  • Drafting, updating and maintaining comprehensive guidance on AP/AR processes for departments
  • Promoting a continuous improvement approach with the processing team to ensure high quality and streamlined processes and controls
The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior Finance Officer - accounts payable and/or accounts receivable with good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping. You must have an excellent customer service approach with strong attention to detailand can hit the ground running supporting this busy team.It is essential that you have excellent systems skills including varied finance systems, including purchase to pay systems whilst being a competent user of Excel, a working knowledge of SAP would provide a distinct advantage.
