Job Description

Are you looking for an interim opportunity to take on a senior role in an influential Not for Profit organisation Are you technically gifted in Finance Do you want to work in a flexible manner in an organisation proud of its flexible cultureMy client is a professional and highly esteemed not for profit organisation, based in London. They are underway with a major Finance systems overhaul, and owing to secondments in the team, they are now recruiting for an interim Head of Finance on a six-monthfixed term contract with the following key responsibilities:

  • Leading the day to day running of the finance function, managing a total team of five across two direct reports
  • Having full ownership of the preparation of year end financial statements, working closely with the Financial Controller who will do most of the initial preparation for year end
  • Being the key point of contact for external auditors
  • Leading on the budgeting and forecasting process both for Group and its entities
  • Overseeing the Senior Business Partner and support them in the creation of board and committee reports
  • Leading on a small number of key projects outside of the systems implementation.
This will an exciting opportunity for someone to take on a position of leadership in an influential and high performing finance function. The organisation boasts and excellent working culture, offering flexibility and support from senior leadership. Thepostholder can work from home as many as four days per week if desired.To be considered, please meet the following criteria:
  • Be a fully qualified accountant with technical expertise within Not for Profit Finance
  • Be a credible leader with the confidence and maturity to take on a role as the singular point of sign off for many critical finance operations
  • Have prior experience of leading on the delivery of year end and the preparation financial statements
  • Be available for an immediate or short notice start.
