Job Description

Robertson Bell are working with a Government organisation, based in London, to recruit an Interim Head of Commercial on a 6-12-month contract. Due to the nature of the organisation it is essential that you hold valid and current SC or DV security clearance.Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead and direct the department and over see any resultant transformational activities such as contract management strategies.
  • Lead on delivering the commercial functional transformation including implementing a resourcing strategy to support business demand.
  • Be the Commercial representative on the board that oversees delivery against commercial strategy and strategic procurements.
  • Work and support the organisation through policy, strategic development, business planning, performance, service delivery and governance.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders and external organisations to build strong working relationships.
    • The successful candidate:
  • Must be a MCIPS qualified or hold a GCF ADC Accreditation at Associate Commercia Specialist Level.
  • It is essential that you hold valid SC or DV security clearance, candidates without this will not be considered.
  • Experience of working in a complex organisation at a similar level to have an indepth experience of public procurement legislation and spending controls.
  • Experience of leading teams at a strategic level, supporting and enabling transformational change.
    • This role is inside of IR35.
