Job Description

Interim Philanthropy ManagerType - Temporary- could move into a perm role at later stagePay - £20.62ph if based in London or £19.79 if based outside of London.Duration - 4 monthsHours - 35pw, Mon-FriA great opportunity has become available within a national charity, who are built around ED&I - specifically to support the LGBTQ community.They are looking for a Fundraising Manager to manage the cultivation, recruitment and stewardship of their Ambassador programme members and prospects, including management of events and communications.What does the role involve:

  • Building relationships with existing donors so they feel committed to longer term engagement
  • Developing supporter journeys and a meaningful stewardship programme across all activities,
  • working closely with the Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Officer to do so.
  • Increasing the overall number of Ambassadors and major donors Stonewall has throughproactive, new business activity.
  • Managing your own budget, this will include income, expenditure and overall campaign ROI
  • Working with other departments across the organisation to identify relevant content for the
  • Ambassador and Major Donor programmes, working with the Corporate Partnerships and
  • Philanthropy Officer to do so.
  • Developing proposals and asks for donors, as well as managing membership of the programme, ensuring that income is maximised and that all donors are stewarded at
  • correct levels.
  • Collaborating with teams across Fundraising to maximise income generation
  • Ensuring all data relevant to the Ambassador and Major Donor programmes is recorded effectively and accurately
  • Line managing Events Officer and work with Events freelancer on the delivery of high value, special events that engage major donors, ambassadors and corporate
What you need:
  • Some management experience, that may include coordinator of consultants or volunteer management
  • Ability to feed into and deliver operational plans
  • Ability to read budgets, and understand finance sign off procedures
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, complex environment with competing priorities
  • Previous experience of working within and managing a function in the field of major donor fundraising
