Job Description

Robertson Bell are working with one of the leading names in the International Development Sector to recruit an Interim Financial Controller for a period of 18 months with the possibility of going permanent following this. Based in Central London, the role joins the team during a period of change and will be responsible for continuing this change.Reporting into the Director of Finance, the main responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Manage a team of 8 across systems, transactions and financial accounting, ensuring continuous development of all team members.
  • Contribute and oversee aspects of a systems migration, taking ownership of any areas that will change reporting processes within your remit.
  • Ensure tight compliance within the organisation around audits, tax and the reports to the various relevant bodies.
  • Work with a number of international regional hubs to deliver a slick finance function across the organisation.
    • The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant who is well versed in managing similarly sized teams. Experience of working in the charity sector will be a bonus, specifically INGO, even if this is in your capacity as a trustee or as a volunteer.This is an interesting role with wide ranging exposure in a genuinely CV enhancing organisation and the client is looking to move very quickly on this position.
