Job Description

Baker Charles are partnering with a renowned media agency to recruit a Financial Accountant on an initial 6-month fixed term contract. This role will manage the statutory accounting process and be the key liaison throughout the auditing process ensuring deadlines are met in a seamless manner.The ideal candidate will be an ACA or ACCA qualified Financial Accountant with 1-3 years post qualified experience and be able to demonstrate proficiencies in preparing statutory accounts whilst ensuring financial controls are maintained to a high standard.The Role

  • Full responsibility for the preparation of statutory financial statements for multiple entities, whilst ensuring all financial reporting and general ledgers are correct for statutory and audit adjustments.
  • Using your understanding and experience in managing the audit process, you will be liaising with external auditors and be the main point of contact for the UK finance team.
  • Responsible for month-end close whilst ensuring monthly management accounts are completed accurately and to a high standard whilst posting accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ad hoc process improvement projects working alongside the senior leadership team.
    • Additional Requirements
  • Experience of preparing or auditing FRS101 financial accounts for multiple entities.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and able to show understanding of consolidating multiple accounting units.
  • Able to communicate confidently and with clarity and able to demonstrate managing relationship with key stakeholders.
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and offer flexibility where necessary.
