Job Description

Job title: Finance ManagerContract type: 6 months fixed term contractLocation: A short walk from Holborn Underground stationSalary: £36,000 - £39,000Are you passionate about social change and helping young peopleIf you are an experienced finance professional and you are interested in working for a growing charity, then this Finance Manager role is the right role for you.In your role as Finance Manager you will support the wider team, CEO and Head of Operations to ensure successful delivery financial operations and reports for the wider charity.Your day-to-day duties as Finance Manager will include;

  • Prepare and maintain the annual income & expenditure budgets
  • Monitor budgets VS actuals and account for major variations to the SMG, and CEO
  • Ensure that all operational accounting such as invoicing, payment runs and bank reconciliation are completed in a timely manner
  • Implement financial processes to ensure robust financial controls and procedures
  • Maintain monthly payroll
  • Manage the year end audit process
  • Ensure all statutory accounts and financial compliance is met and completed in a timely manner
The skills you will bring to the role of Finance Manager will include;
  • Relevant accounting qualification such as CIMA or ACCA
  • Experience of working in a similar role ideally within a charity or not for profit organisation
  • Strong financial reporting skills and working with senior management group
  • Working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero
