Job Description

I am recruiting for an interim Capital Accountant with Local Government experience - it is essential you have this background, so please only apply I you meet these criteria.Duties of the role will require you to:

  • Lead on the production of the annual accounts, full timetable, proformas, presentation for 21-22 closure including, Asset valuation, Balance Sheet, Cash, EMR, Leases, Pensions, & Quality Assurance, Audit Recommendations
  • Lead on various notes SOA, Contingent Liabilities, Pension Scheme, EMR, Grant Income, IAS 19, Taxation and Non-Specific Grant Income and Expenditure, usable & unusable reserves
  • Review accounting policies and write report to Audit and Governance Committee
  • Review existing SLA agreements, and creation of new SLA agreements financial models working closely with legal services
  • Lead on bad debt provision and lead policy review and update
  • Liaise with auditors as part of the annual audit, providing draft statutory accounts
