Job Description Join the Trade Support team at a global investment firm - Great opportunity for professionals eager to thrive in a cutting-edge financial environment. As a Trade Support Specialist in the Middle Office (MO), your main job is to ensure smooth trading activities for Portfolio Managers and internal teams. Youll work across departments to accurately record and confirm trades, focusing on Interest Rate Derivativesbut also gaining exposure to other asset types. Key Responsibilities:
  • Matching Trades: Collaborate to match trades promptly on electronic platforms for IRS, bonds, and credit trades.
  • Non-Electronic Trades: Manage non-electronic trades to minimize risks.
  • Same Day Tasks: Provide timely support for confirming trades in other departments.
  • Next Day Support: Resolve previous days issues promptly and inform affected parties.
  • Escalation: Report process failures or potential losses to management.
  • Initiatives and Improvements: Identify and address process weaknesses, plan and execute projects, and report progress and risks.
  • Risk Management: Proactively mitigate risks and keep Operational Risk informed.Skills and Experience:
    • Experience with interest rate derivatives.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong understanding of financial markets and regulations.
    • Balancing autonomy with teamwork and managing tasks effectively.
    • Excellent communication skills, especially for senior stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with systems like MarkitWire, Bloomberg, and Murex is advantageous.
