Job Description

Animal Management Instructor Status: PermanentHours: Full-timeSalary: £20,394 - £23,412 (A21 - A28)Reaseheath Colleges state-of-the-art Animal Centre and Zoo have won national recognition for excellence - as have our courses that deliver the very bestanimal management education. Following a £4 million upgrade of our Animal Centre, we boast an exceptional range of world-class facilities, as well as a team of teaching staff who are genuinely passionate about supporting every student to reach their full potential.Weare currently looking to appoint an instructor with experience/qualifications in Animal Management to deliver practical and husbandry related subjects to predominantly Further Education learners although this may be supplemented with delivery to schools groups,and Higher Education learners.We are looking for an exceptional, well organised individual to deliver across a range of courses within the animal management area. You will also implement quality assurance processes and develop new curriculum content that keepsus at the forefront of this evolving arena.The ideal candidate should hold a formal qualification in a subject related to animal management. Good team working and communication skills are key attributes within this dynamic team. A teaching qualification isnot essential, although desirable, as training will be offered in post.Please note this role constitutes regulated activity as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBScheck with barred list information prior to starting employment. You must have the right to work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence to support this.Closing Date: 21 July 2021 MidnightAssessment Centre Date: TBC
