Job Description

This "niche" Company within the property technology sector are seeking an enthusiastic Network Engineer to join our expanding team based in North West London The role will require the successful candidate to support their Smart City and Core network deployments. It is essential that you have strong Network Engineering experience with clients, fibre optic, Alcatel and experience of wireless solutions. This role is based in Wembley Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm with some overtime as requested. This is a field based role so you must have experience of cabling and infrastructure based on site.Principal Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the Design and implementation of creative solutions to support our customers needs
  • Ensure timely delivery of network projects
  • Support Core network projects
  • Complete project documentation
  • Participate in "oncall" schedules with other members of the team
  • Design and deploy multi-site customer solutions
  • Design security solutions for customers
  • Research and evaluate cutting edge technology for deployment in the network
  • Participate in the design and deployment of Smart City solutions
  • Design and deploy enterprise class wireless solutions
    • Person Specification:
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, PPPoE, GRE, VRRP, LACP, RADIUS, SNMP, Spanning tree
  • Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, DMVPN and other routing protocols
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a growing team
  • Practical configuration experience of firewallsWireless access points, layer 2 and layer 3 switches, routers
  • Strong multitasker with the capability to drive projects
  • Have CiscoCCNA or 3 years + equivalent experience
  • Alcatel-Lucent experience is desirable
  • Experience in RGNets
  • Experience in SNMPc and Auvix or PRTG is desirable
  • Knowledge in MPLS is desirable
  • Experience in Ruckus wireless solutions essential
  • ITIL certification is desirable
    • Essential SkillsYou will have a minimum of 5 years Network Engineering within the Telecoms sector. You will have a minimum of 3 years expereince and have CISCO CCNA with full installation experience. This is not an office based role. You must have experience of field based installations Required skills
