Job Description

The opportunity has arisen for an Installation Engineer to join our team. The role offers a competitive negotiable salary based upon individuals experience and excellent benefits.Experienced Installation EngineerLocation: Head office in Orsett

  • You would only be required to come to the office once or twice per week
  • The majority of our work is around central London, Cheshunt, Chelmsford, and Dartford, but we also expand to other nearby areas
Salary:Negotiable £32,000+ /year depending on skill level and experience
  • We also offer paid travel time half hour each way
The RoleDue to expansion, ongoing and new contracts being awarded, our clients are looking for an experienced Installation Security Technician to join their team of talented engineers.We seek an individual to work with the Managing Director and the estimating team to produce estimates for their current client base, as well as work with leads generated through the marketing carried out by the company.About usWe provide a full range of electronic security systems and services including but not limited to Intercoms, Access Control, CCTV, Automated Barriers and Gates, Speed Gates & Intruder Alarms, as well as fully integrated IP based solutions. We provide bothsimple standalone systems as well as fully integrated IP based solutions.We are a fast-growing (and aspiring) company looking for the right candidate to grow with the company and expect to deliver nothing less than high quality service delivered to their clients from their highly skilled and dedicated employees.Main Role:
  • Installation of CCTV, Access Control, Intercoms & Intruder Alarms including commissioning (mainly on new housing developments)
  • Experience in connecting Remote Signalling i.e. Redcare, Digi Air etc
  • Ideally Fire Alarm installation experience beneficial although not essential
When required you will need to assist the other areas of the business such as:
  • Inspecting, servicing, repairing and installing all aspects of security related systems
  • Investigating and diagnosing faults and making effective, economical and lasting repairs
  • Respond to emergency calls within the timescale specified wherever possible
  • Carry out routine maintenance on all types of security systems
  • Participate in the out of hours on call rota for all system types whenever necessary (1 in 4) Intruder Alarms (Texecom / Galaxy)
  • Access Control (ACT / FDI / Paxton)
  • CCTV (IP / Analogue)
  • Intercoms (Urmet / BPT / Entrotec / Comelit), (conventional, digital and IP systems)
  • Ensure that works are compliant with Intruder, Access, CCTV and Fire regulations
  • Carry out site surveys when required
  • Fully complete all relevant documentation and PDA notes, log books etc; relating to all aspects of role
Additional Requirements:The ideal Security Engineers will have minimum 3/5+ years experience in the following systems:Any less than 3 years experience would be considered at a lower negotiable salary up to 30k.
  • Intercoms, alarms, and access control experience is essential
  • You must also be able to travel in and around the M25 Areas and due to the mobile nature of the role.
  • You must have a full UK Driving License.
  • DBS required.
  • ECS or CSCS Site Operative Card Required.
