Infrastructure TechnicianHome-based (in the UK) minimal site visitsThe IT Department ensures the Charity has robust, secure and effective IT systems and applications that support the ability of the charity to achieve our objectives. Were currently looking for an Infrastructure Technician to join them on a permanent, full-timebasis.The RoleAs an Infrastructure Technician, you will work within a small internal IT Team to develop and support the IT environment. You will be the first point of contact for IT Security related best practice and incident resolution.In this role, you will be responsible for:- Ensure the security of the network, infrastructure and data stored on the network and I.T. assets- Resolution of incidents within agreed SLAs- Working collaboratively with third parties to support system availability and enhance services to end users- Act as key contact for IT Security related best practice and incident resolution- Creation of Service Transition documentation and training to team members with respect to new services.- Supporting the implementation and roll out of new systems and technology to agreed time and budget- Providing troubleshooting of systems and network problems- Creating Service Transition documentation and providing training to team members- Monitoring and maintaining back-end infrastructureWorking HoursThis is a full-time position working 35 hours per week which will involve out of hours remote support on a rota basis. We are open to candidates interested in flexible working or alternative hours. This is a home based role although you may be expected to travelas and when required.What youll need- Experience in a similar IT environment- Experience of managing Azure server architecture- Experience in Microsoft 365 administration- Experience in SQL management- A proven background in Windows Server administration- Knowledge of ITIL Service management awareness- Good knowledge of networking (e.g., MPLS, Azure network, SDWAN)- Microsoft Cloud security and Sentinel skills- Proficiency in providing remote desktop servicesApplicants should be aware that the post will only be offered to successful candidates subject to pre-employment checks.
