Job Description

My global hedge-fund client requires a talented Infrastructure Systems Engineer who is proficient in Windows to join their London office. You will have the opportunity to liaise with different departments within the organisation, the design, implementation, and integration of infrastructure systems while learning from the very best.To be successful you will need to have an outstanding academic background, ideally a first or a 2.1 from a prestigious university, excellent communication skills as you will be interacting with a wide range of departments within the organisation, excellent networking and automation skills particularly in PowerShell & An in-depth knowledge of core Windows technologiesResponsibilities:

  • The ideal candidate should have a degree in computer science (or another technical discipline) or comparable work experience. An in-depth knowledge of core Windows technologies (AD/ADFS, Failover Clustering, SMB, Hyper-V) and excellent networking and automation skills (particularly PowerShell) are required.
  • Previous experience with the design and end-to-end implementation of performant, reliable, and secure infrastructure systems is essential, as are superb troubleshooting capabilities and experience with diagnostic/tracing tools.
  • Experience with declarative configuration management, automated build, deployment, and CI/CD systems is highly desirable, as is development experience in C# and Python. A working knowledge of Linux, network protocols, information security concepts, databases, and large-scale storage is preferred.
  • Outstanding communication skills are imperative, as the role will entail significant interaction with different departments in the firm.
