We are inclusive, with partnership and collaboration at the heart of what we do.We are determined to reach those people who are under-represented in modern engineeringAbout the roleThis is an exciting time to join EngineeringUK as we are growing our programmes and require an Information Manager to support our organisations informationand data ecosystem. Sitting within the Business Services team, this is a critical role that will work with our external support partners to make sure our IT and systems infrastructure is fit for purpose and ensure that we have the tools to deliver. The InformationManager will also work with colleagues across the organisation to co-ordinate data and knowledge capture.An integral part of this role will involve liaising with people internally and externally, therefore, an ability to build and maintain positive relationshipsis a must. A high degree of attention to detail, very high level of IT skills and the ability to multitask and manage complex projects in a deadline driven environment will also be required.Part of the Finance and Corporate Services Directorate, the BusinessServices team is a cross-functional team, bringing together critical functions which help to grow, run and protect the organisation, from Planning, Procurement, Business Processes and the Programme Management Office (PMO), through to IT, Systems, Legal, Compliance,Audit and Facilities.We are focused on driving delivery and improving the performance of the organisation. We work closely with all teams to deliver our programmes in ways which help to drive efficiency, improve quality and protect our organisations brandand reputation.The following tasks and activities are likely to take the majority of your time:Role responsibilitiesIT, Systems & Infomation Security Managing the relationship and performance of our external IT services provider(s) and have oversight of ticketsthat are issued ensuring these are actioned in a timely manner. Working with our external CRM system partner to develop and provide bespoke reports for internal and external stakeholders and managing users and licencing requirements for all our systems. Managingrelevant functionality and security updates to our systems and working with teams across the organisation to develop system functionality to improve business processes and/or simplify workflows. Oversight of special projects delivered by external service providers.Setup and management of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) for the organisation.Data Providing light touch data analysis to projects across the organisation such as how our stakeholders are engaging with our programmes (working alongside morecomplex programme evaluation in the research team). Ensuring the quality, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data the organisation holds.Knowledge Management Establishing guidelines, documentation and delivering appropriate training for the organisationon IT and systems. Collaboration with teams across EngineeringUK to organize and store information assets. Developing plans for capturing and storing current organisational knowledge and legacy knowledge as it retires or is retiredGeneral Project managementincluding understanding and prioritising business requirements and translating those into efficient processes. Working within EngineeringUKs Quality Management System (QMS) We all work flexibly at EngineeringUK helping our colleagues in other teams as needed,from time to time this role may need to be flexible and to work on tasks that support other areas of the organisation.Person SpecificationEssential experience and attributes Excellent working knowledge of Office 365 with a high level of competence in MicrosoftExcel. Strong data analysis skills - ability to manage data integration and ensure consistent data quality; experience of working with large data sets. Experience of CRM system management. Experience of supplier management, undertaking performance evaluationsand ensuring that suppliers deliver. Excellent communication skills and experience working with teams across organisations to gather, analyse and translate information. A professional demeanour and personal manner that allows you to work effectively with peopleinside and outside of EngineeringUK at all levels of seniority. Exceptional organisational skills, such that you are able to approach a complex and varied workload with confidence and good humour. The ability to effectively prioritise between multiple competingworkstreamsDesirable experiences and attributes Experience of the following: ISO27001 or ISO standards, Salesforce, ITIL and/or managing an Information Security Management System (ISMS).Education / level of experience Minimum of 3+ years proven experiencewithin a similar roleThis job description sets out the duties of the post at the time it was drawn up.
