Job Description

This role seeks an Information Governance Officer who will uphold the highest standards of data handling in the on behalf of the Trust. The successful candidate will have a crucial role in ensuring the organisations adherence to the data management & governance.Client DetailsThis is a well-known London based NHS Foundation Trust offering specialist services to patients across the UK.DescriptionThe Information Governance Officer will support the Trusts Information Governance team in the delivery of the Trusts Information Governance (IG) strategy and compliance programme.This post will be responsible for managing the day to day operational enquiries within the organisation against compliance against Information Governance/Data Protection.Monitor, co-ordinate and process all requests against the Freedom of Information Act and Environmental Information Regulations and the Trusts procedure for dealing with requests for information· To deliver Data Security Awareness training sessions to the organisation where required· To support the Information Governance team with the production and collection of evidence for the annual Data Security & Protection Toolkit Undertake audit activity in relation to information governance Deputise for the Information Governance Compliance Officer as and when required. Support the IG team with identifying data flows, information assets and associated risks.Provide the IG secretarial function including arranging meetings, minuting and note taking. Support the IG team with admin and support as required.ProfileThe candidate that secures the role will be able to demonstrate that they have a proven track record in the following areas:

  • Most importantly working knowledge in a similar role within the information governance/compliance.
  • Has supported in meetings & undertaken audit
  • Capability of dealing with complex issues and sharing information clearly to manage appropriate response
  • Excellent administration in diary management/meeting skills.
  • Management of meetings such as agenda preparation, minute taking, report writing
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, enjoys building relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.
