LocationLondonAbout the jobSummaryAbout the teamThis is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly created Inclusion and Diversity Team in DIT and contribute to the growth and development of one of the most exciting International Civil Service departments, supporting all business areas including overseas. The team holds responsibility for the delivery of the DIT Inclusion & Diversity strategy and agenda, working closely with senior stakeholders internally and externally, and directly supporting our Permanent Secretary to make DIT the most inclusive department in Whitehall.Job descriptionAbout the roleWe are an inclusive and motivated team, working closely with internal and external stakeholders (including our Permanent Secretary, staff networks, SCS sponsors, Civil Service HR, and expert partners) to deliver the I&D agenda for the department and in direct support of the CS Diversity Strategy. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Inclusion & Diversity Team, providing a range of business support to help ensure DIT is a brilliant place to work and one of the most inclusive UK employers. We are looking for a capable individual to manage the day to day operational running of this small but diverse team. They will support, coordinate and report against its high-profile programme of work including: ? Supporting the implementation of the Departments D&I Action Plan. ? Building and maintaining strong relationships across HR, and DIT business areas. ? Using project management principals to manage, monitor and update schedules, plans and dashboards. ? Working across business and HR functions to co-ordinate, gather and analyse data to assess progress against our diversity goals. ? Drafting and presenting D&I progress updates as required. ? Providing high quality customer service to the D&I Networks across DIT. ? Managing, supporting and monitoring the Bullying, Harassment and Discrimination (BHD) First Responder network across DIT. ? Working with Internal Communications to manage the successful delivery of the I&D Communications Plan. The roles offer excellent developmental opportunities in a varied and expanding environment, and provides a unique access to, and knowledge about D&I.ResponsibilitiesYou will need excellent organisational skills, be flexible, enthusiastic, able to work under your own initiative, have an ability to effectively manage a range of competing priorities and the confidence to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders from across DIT. Essential and Preferred ExperienceExperience of I&D programmes and policies is preferred but not essential.
