Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and finalising all real estate reports addressed to OakNorth
  • Reviewing and undertaking all lease documentation
  • Working with external counsel and internal legal team to assess risks in real estate due diligence on security property and report to credit committee
  • Managing lawyers in India to undertake discrete real estate reviews and summaries
  • Working with all parties to overcome any real estate issues on subject security to ensure the bank has suitable security
  • Analysing due diligence and reporting to credit of any key risks
  • Work with Portfolio Monitoring team for ongoing real estate issues on properties within the portfolio
  • Update all real estate precedent reporting documentation
  • Keeping up to date with legal updates developments in real estate to ensure the bank is kept up to date
Attributes:
  • Expert technical legal skills in real estate
  • Experience of a wide range of real estate transactions
  • Strong drafting skills and extensive experience of finalising a wide range of real estate issues
  • Working knowledge of construction, planning and environmental law
  • Ability to juggle a number of urgent deals at any time
  • Strong drafting skills
  • Clear attention to detail on all real estate reporting documentation
  • Ability to add value and build trust with clients
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work in teams and demonstrates ability to remain calm under pressure
