Job Description

Working at the heart of Lidls Import team, youll find our busy and dynamic specialist team, continuously improving processes and finding ways to better service Lidls millions of customers. We thrive on creating the best solutions to complex and ever-changingchallenges and were looking for an Import Coordinator to join us!With the important task of coordinating the import processes for our vast supply chain, you will be part of the team that enables Lidls flow of goods run seamlessly. Your input as a team player and import professional, will have a direct impact on our operations,stores and millions of customers.In Import, no two days are the same! As our Import Coordinator, you will constantly be bringing solutions to new and interesting challenges. As a great stakeholder manager, you will be working closely with internal as well as external teams with a globalreach.Youll need brilliant communication skills and youll be in direct contact with our senior business leaders, as well as brokers and freight forwarders. This will be a fast paced, dynamic position where youll need to take a pragmatic approach to solvingproblems to ensure our imported products get on to the shelves in Lidl stores on time.If you thrive in dynamic, exciting, global environments, have an understanding of import processes and want to join a great team which values growth and development, this could be the role for you!Please note: your contractual job title will be Administrator in line with our internal role structures.We have a hybrid working model for Head Office roles, ensuring you have a flexible work life balance.What youll do

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders including customs brokers, freight forwarders and suppliers
  • Working closely with internal teams such as Customs, Buying and Supply Chain, as well as International
  • Building the necessary controls and processes around our SAP based Import systems
  • Supporting managers to refine business processes
  • Producing end to end documentation for all processes reflecting operational practices including systems, reporting, and training
  • Understanding the objectives of our operational and project work, their impact on the business and dynamically driving solutions to business-critical issues
  • Solving problems to key issues proactively and escalating in a timely manner
  • Evaluating process and systems relating to all aspects of imports
What youll need
  • An understanding of the variety of import processes and documentation
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues across all levels of the business
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of business departments
  • Good IT skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive and a great can-do attitude
  • Process focused with great attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Ideally a German speaker with excellent communication skills in both English and German
