Job Description

NHSX is leading the largest digital health and social care transformation programme in the world and has been created to give staff and citizens the technology they need. The team is based upon NHS England’s Empower the Person team that moved into NHSX when it was established. The team champions the provision of digital services for citizens, representing their interests on development, commissioning projects and programmes across NHSX, NHS England/Improvement and NHS Digital.It works closely with the NHS regions, sustainability and transformation partnerships (STPs), integrated care systems (ICSs), Trusts and Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), and with representatives of patients, suppliers and charities.We are seeking an Implementation Lead who will ensure the provision of an efficient, effective and high quality professional and well-co-ordinated service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation.The services currently being implemented and supported include: NHS App, NHS Login, GP Online services, NHS.UK, Digital Child Health and Digital Maternity and any other patient facing digital services within the Empower the Person Portfolio. The Implementation team also supports the implementation of the wider portfolio of products and services by NHSX and NHS England and ImprovementThe post holder will work as part of the team developing effective strategy and policies for capturing innovation and leading-edge excellent practice in localities, to leverage digital tools to enable patients to manage their own health and care. Clinical expertise would be strongly preferred.The post holder will support the current processes, discussions and work with colleagues to develop how best practice might be adopted in the definition of future processes.Key Functional Responsibilities:
  • To deliver site case studies for practical benefits realisation use by the regions.
  • To support regions by taking information and learning from Empower the Person portfolio centrally to regions.
  • Support the regions by making certain that comments, queries and complaints from the regions to centre for resolution, if not able to solve at the time.
  • To encourage uptake and adoption with a range of innovative techniques for the region.
  • To assess statistics for the region to encourage improvement and supply helpful tools and techniques.
  • Support the NHSX portfolio with implementation expertise.
  • To increase/supplement the ability of the team to produce practical case studies for all the work but most particularly NHS App and NHS login ting the delivery of projects on time, to quality standards and in a cost-effective manner.
