Job Description

Exciting data analyst role within leading ethical investment company.Looking at investment data and reporting impact of investments back to senior stakeholders.Client DetailsEthical Investment company, specialising in investing into 3rd world infrastructureDescription

  • Manage the internal impact score assurance process: review and approve every impact score to indicate that the score has been appropriately evidenced, in line with requirements.
  • Lead the external annual assurance process: ensure auditors are contractually appointed and liaise with them to ensure valid and timely assurance of the AIS. Ensure any changes to scores are reflected in our internal data management system. Present theresults of the assurance process to the Boards Development Impact Committee. Ensure public disclosures are made and auditors are paid.
  • Create the disclosure statement as a signatory to the Operating Principles of Impact Management. Ensure this is up-to-date and accurately reflects implementation of the Impact Principles, and that the disclosure is made public in line with commitments.
  • Assist in the annual data collection process and as a second pair of eyes for portfolio impact data quality assurance.
  • Assist in the Annual Review process: create graphs, analyse data, provide written descriptive analysis, including comparisons with suitable benchmarks.
  • Process data/information requests from across the organisation, often in response to requests from our Shareholder and external stakeholders.
  • Review our process guidelines, recommend process/systems improvement, implement and update guidelines as needed.
  • Process invoices for payment and maintain a procurement log on behalf of the team.
  • Manage contract creation, NDAs and tender processes as needed on behalf of the team.
  • Lead on event organisation, such as conferences and workshops.
  • Manage the teams intranet page to ensure this accurately reflects the teams focus and value add, and that results are shared from across our workstreams in a timely manner.
Profile
  • The Analyst should be able to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and confidence with numerical data/use of spreadsheets and in relation to their own evidence checks.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills are essential for this role, including experience of effectively analysing data and drawing meaningful insights that inform actions.
  • Excel proficiency is essential. Strong preference for proficiencies in analysis automatization (e.g. use of VBA and macros and/or a good working knowledge of Power BI).
  • Highly proficient in other Microsoft Products (Outlook, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint).
  • Strong academic background in science, business or social sciences (i.e. economics, mathematics, development, etc.), with a data focus.
  • Familiarity with accounting terminology.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
