Overview: Social Media is a core part of the Global demand strategy and the global role is responsible for developing the Social Media strategy and execution plan for BNY Mellon Investment Management. This involves working closely with key stakeholders in Marketing, Sales and Compliance within BNY Mellon Investment Management and also counterparts in the Investment firms & Corporate teams. As well as setting out a clear vision, KPIs and roadmap for the firm, the expectation is that this role will act as a centre of excellence, providing best practice and consultancy for marketers and sales to enable delivery at scale To lead the formulation, development and implementation of paid strategy and plans for global markets. In doing so the role involves a deep understanding of the financial media in order to define and implement a robust strategy. The role also involves evolving the existing media strategy and is not limited to just BNY Mellon investment management. The Global Media Director will need to work across the enterprise to forge relationships with marketing contacts to enable joint media initiatives to offer best value both in terms of economies of scale and value to target audience Additionally working with the marketing team to ensure the effective execution of campaigns by supporting with media at global, regional and local levels, the enhanced use of data, in real time, is expected in order to illustrate success and examine future media investment. Responsibilities: Create an implement a strong vision for the new media function Identify and adapt media strategies at an appropriate level for the differing requirements of field marketing teams (global, regional, local) Review and, where necessary, change the existing media agency relationships Plan and manage annual budgets in line with business requirements. Ensure that the elements of the media plans required to support marketing plans are employed in the most efficient manner and that agreed deliverables are delivered according to the defined schedule. Build relationships across the enterprise, liaise and consult on media strategy and provide additional support an implementation where required Develop a data led strategy to track results and outcomes from all media investment Increase value for money within media. This may include more budget being allocated to media away from other channels or agencies, increased spending efficiencies, better alignment with audiences and reduction of outlay on non-value add activities. Establish and agree processes around the development, delivery and compliance of all media related materials eg adverts to deliver to campaign activities on time. Be involved with and consult on best practice around awards and events participation. Work as part of the Marketing team and contribute towards making internal and external processes flow smoothly and efficiently Keep sales, client services and sales support personnel fully informed of all media developments affecting the regions at all times.
