Make it your own!We’re looking for a CIPD Level 5 qualified Human Resources Ninja who can take ownership of all that is HR and admin, manage staff in the head office as well as the 13 regional offices. You’ll need to ensure smooth and efficient running of the head office along with regional offices and provide a professional, comprehensive, and high-quality HR service to this organisation.This is fantastic opportunity to be involved in a really special organisation that do great work.   • 3+ years’ successful track record of managing HR services, including liaison and consultation with recognised staff/ representatives as required.
  • Experience of line managing teams.
  • Confident to make decisions, advise managers, lead teams, negotiate and withstand professional challenge.
  • Proven track record in effective problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Able to work collaboratively and on own.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the depth, scope and practical application of HR Policies and issues; the postholder will be self-sufficient and rarely require advice and support other than in unusual or highly complex situations.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to deal with a variety of different pressures and activities at the same time.
  • Level 5 Intermediate CIPD qualification (Certificate or Diploma) or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of employment law as it relates to day-to-day HR matters.
  • Excellent people management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as plan and organise own workload.
  • Willing to travel to regional offices on occasion and as required.
Role Responsibilities: (not limited to)
  • Advise senior officials and line managers on HR best practice and employment law, ensuring appropriate policies and processes are in place, are kept up to date with employment legislation and are followed. To periodically review all such policies to ensurethey remain in line with requirements.
  • Manage the recruitment process, from end to end
  • Make decisions and exercise authority to deal with a broad range of people management issues in both informal and formal situations as required.
  • Manage all aspects of internal HR procedures, e.g. disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence etc, advising line managers and ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct interviews and investigations under HR policies, preparing reports and presenting cases at formal hearings as required.
  • Develop and implement new HR and office management policies and procedures as required for the effective management of the organisation and development of its staff.
  • Ensure all HR Administration is carried out effectively and to a high standard.
  • Manage the staff and work allocation of the Head Office PA team, ensuring that effective cover and support is provided at all times
  • Provide full and effective leadership and line management to staff in the team, communicating a positive and achieving culture.
  • Ensure the effective recruitment, induction, training, delegation, performance management, monitoring and review of team members, ensuring they are supported and developed to maximise their potential and deliver their accountabilities.
