Job Description

One of the four HR team members will be going on maternity leave in October / November and my client have decided to bring somebody in early so a long hand over can be completed.This contract will be 12 months, starting mid to late August. The official title is HR Analyst although I assess that HR Associate level candidates with 4+ years experience are about right.The team consists of an HR Director, an HR Associate, this position and a junior as well as an EA who assists with the administration.The present incumbent and the HR Associate work together exceptionally well and the successful candidate will be the one who can work as part of this close nit team.This role will give the successful candidate excellent exposure to senior stakeholders both internal and external.The Role

  • React to HR queries from the business
  • Take a leading role in the Employment Lifecycle.
  • Prepare contracts, introduction letters and new starter emails
  • Take a lead on SMCR, including background checks and Annual Fitness and Proprietary processes
  • Oversee the ongoing Intern recruitment (which takes place all year round). Conduct interviews and provide verbal offers.
  • Ensure that Recruitment platforms are up to date
  • Have ownership of employee benefits
  • Organise and maintain employee personal and job records
  • Manage leave of absences such as parental leave
  • Too many other Ad Hoc HR related tasks to list
The Candidate
  • At least 3 years experience looking after Employee Life Cycle, ideally within Financial Services
  • Private Equity experience is preferred. Hedge Fund and Asset Management is second best. Law firms, Consultancy, Fintech, Banking or Insurance are third best.
  • Experience with SMCR is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of HRIS, ideally Workday.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel (Pivot tables)
  • Strong communication skills, meaning excellent written and verbal communication ability.
  • An ability to work quickly and accurately
