Job Description

HR Manager - Standalone HR Role - Construction Industry - London - £80k-£100k (DoE) + benefits

  • Standalone HR Manager
  • Successful private company in construction sector
  • £80k-£100k (dependent on experience) + benefits
  • Central London office based role plus visits to project sites both in and outside London (as needed)
  • Strong Generalist HR Manager needed with up-to-date knowledge on all UK Employment Law and Industrial Relations legislation, practices and processes
  • TUPE experience sought
  • Experience gained in the construction industry is highly desirable
Were looking for an experienced generalist HR Manager to undertake a standalone role with a highly successful private company in the construction industry.You will manage the day-to-day HR functions and processes including Employee Relations, performance management, leave administration and policy implementation.This role is primarily based in the companys Head Office in Central London, however you may be required to visit their project sites, which could be inside or outside London.In a nutshell: Were looking for a HR Manager who is keen to undertake a standalone role in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Key responsibilities as the HR Manager will include:
  • Providing guidance, coaching and consultation regarding HR management practices to support policies and procedures
  • Managing all HR activity including ER, TUPE, retention initiatives, performance management, HR projects and more
  • Managing all recruitment activities
  • Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with all HR and Payroll policies and procedures
  • Assisting management with various employee relations issues such as discipline and performance improvement
  • Reviewing and investigating any employee complaints, concerns, disputes and grievances
  • Producing reports
  • Managing all HR contracts
  • Managing all company training
  • Conducting site visits to understand personnel needs
  • And more!
What were looking for:
  • Extensive experience in generalist HR management roles
  • Solid up to date knowledge on all UK Employment Law and Industrial Relations legislation, practices and processes
  • Excellent understanding of Employee Relations
  • CIPD qualified (or similar)
  • TUPE experience
  • Experience in the construction sector (or similar) is highly desirable
  • Ability to lead HR projects and initiatives
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Strategic mindset with strong leadership skills
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to manage own workload
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
